Cyrell AMP Inc., a manufacturer of panels and architectural products, has its roots in Beloeil. Originally focused on providing prefabricated equipment for telecommunications, Cyrell expanded its scope in 1999 by acquiring Groupe AMP, a company specializing in sheet metal work and machining, which was financially troubled at the time. Under the leadership of Mr. Gabriel Borduas, the company thrived, quickly specializing in the creation of architectural panels used to enhance the facades of commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings. Additionally, Cyrell AMP excelled in the design and manufacturing of spandrel panels, while establishing itself as a leader in folding, precision cutting, and various metal and alloy transformations.
In 2000, Cyrell and Groupe AMP relocated to Sainte-Julie, and Mr. Borduas invested in digital equipment, marking the beginning of 3D designs. In 2004, the owner constructed an 18,000 square foot facility in Beloeil and rebranded the company as Cyrell AMP Inc.
Five years later, with business expansion, Cyrell AMP expanded its facility by 12,000 square feet and acquired a combi-laser punch and an Amada press brake. In 2018, the company purchased a fiber laser machine. In 2019, Cyrell AMP entered the US market and acquired an 18-foot press brake. A year later, Cyrell AMP planned the construction of a new factory and purchased new equipment, including an automated Salvagnini P4 S4 line to increase productivity. Faced with a shortage of skilled labor, Cyrell AMP turned to international recruitment and hired workers from Tunisia.
In 2021, Cyrell AMP invested in a new 64,000 square foot factory in Beloeil and relocated there in October of the same year.
In 2023, the company again recruited internationally, this time hiring employees from Madagascar. A year later, the company acquired an Amada press brake.
Today, Cyrell AMP Inc. employs over 70 people, half of whom are international hires. Equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, its influence extends across Canada and the Northeastern United States.
